Steel bristles can scratch or remove finishes. Check your exact bar model’s care instructions before buying. Do not assume bare or stainless steel permits this brush; nylon remains the starting point for ordinary chalk removal.

Routine cleaning
Begin with your bar manufacturer’s current care instructions. Nylon is the starting point for routine chalk removal. Use a cleaner or oil only where that manufacturer permits it; keep cleaning liquid out of the sleeve junction.
